Stephen (a.k.a the Misfit Farmer) and Natalie Bishop own White House Honeybee Farm in Shelby, NC. Our honeybees work tulip poplar trees, pastures of clover, blackberries and brambles, and our wildflower pollinator plots. Occasionally, they also work me over too, which can be quite comical for onlookers because my nervous system responds to stings with a beautiful flailing and flapping routine. Thus, our honey is hard earned, by both the bees and the beekeeper, and a worthy investment for your hard-earned dollars–at least if you like good, pure honey, which I assure you it is, but if you need a second opinion, you can sleep easy because our honey has been certified by the North Carolina Beekeepers’ Association.
